Moms taking shortcuts with Mott’s® Snack & Go

Moms taking short cuts with Mott's Snack & Go TAG

This post is sponsored by Mott's.As parents, we are always looking for ways to make our already hectic lives easier.  This may include taking shortcuts when it comes to dinner, the dreaded housework, getting the kids ready for school, or even getting snacks for our kids.  At my house, it's pretty much all of those things combined! Because we have picky eaters meals and snacks can be difficult for us. Well, mostly when it comes to Xavier. He's not very fond of eating much of anything that is healthy, unless it involves what we call fruit squeezies, you'd know this type of snack better by the ... {Keep On Reading}

Xavier having his very own “My Pirate Ship” from Pacific Play Tents

Xavier having his very own - My Pirate Ship from Pacific Play Tents

There is just something about boys and pirates. I'm not sure what it is or how boys get into pirates, but it happens. I remember Thaddeus really getting into them with the Pirates of the Caribbean movies came out and now Xavier is really into them. Especially the show Jake and the Neverland Pirates. That's why we decided to review the "My Pirate Ship" Play house from Pacific Play Tents when we were offered the opportunity to review one of their tents. As you can imagine, with Xavier being a huge pirate fan, he was super excited to start using his My Pirate Ship play house and he ... {Keep On Reading}

Introduction to Blurb. Have you heard of them?

Blurb - April 2015

**This post contains affiliate links and I will be compensated if you make a purchase after clicking through my links. Like many great companies before it, Blurb was actually started by accident. In the early 2000s, Eileen Gittins, Blurbs' Founder, rekindled a passion for photography while trying to figure out her next career gig. She wanted to compile her photos into a nice coffee table photo book, but she only wanted to print a handful of copies. The conundrum was that every publisher was quoting her hundreds of dollars for each book! She found this curious – and frustrating. So she ... {Keep On Reading}

As super busy parents, we are always looking for ways to keep track of time. Honeymoon / Last Vacation: The Florida Keys

The Florida Keys

Just over 15 years ago we had a very small wedding. It consisted of a long weekend trip to Kentucky during Thanksgiving, getting a marriage license, getting married, and then coming back home to our normal life. We never had a honeymoon. That is until this past week. We decided to take a trip to the Florida Keys for a week, without the kids.  It's our Honeymoon combined with the last vacation we'll have before moving to Hawaii! It was what we needed and so much more. The trip started with a drive to Kentucky to drop the kids off at the in-laws. We then headed to the airport in ... {Keep On Reading}

The last time that I cried

Professor

Over the last year I've done a lot of crying, mostly for obvious reasons of what had been going on in my life.  But the last time that I cried was not that long ago.  It was at the beginning of the year and it was because we had given one of our cats away. Yeah, yeah. Not to long after Thaddeus was born we got a new cat, Professor.  He wasn't your typical cat. Then again none of my cats have ever been typical cats. This cat wanted ALL of your attention. There were days that I thought he was worse than the kids with wanting attention. But he was one of the most loveable cats I'd ever ... {Keep On Reading}

20 Words that others would use to describe me

Shawn Ann in One Word

I'm probably the wrong person to ask to describe myself. I mean, who really wants to be able to describe themselves in just words. Phrases, easy. Words, not so much. So for this post I went to Facebook for my friends and family to describe me in one word.  Some gave just one word and some gave several. Caring Strong Driven Funny Ambitious Confident Brilliant Talented Amazing Beautiful Persistent Stick-to-it Dedicated Mother Determined Passionate Tenacious Steadfast Unshakable Unyielding Personable Smart What!  I got 21 out of everyone! How ... {Keep On Reading}

Bloggers I would love to meet

Hot Pockets Event - Chefs & Bloggers

I've blogged for about 15 years now and 10 of those years have been since I had Thaddeus.  During this time I have become friends with many bloggers online, but very few I have actually met in person.  This is mostly because I haven't had the opportunity to do a lot of travel opportunities with my blog. I would love to meet a few other Bloggers that I just haven't met yet. Some of the Bloggers that I have met, most of which were all from the same travel opportunity that I've wanted to meet are: Jennifer - The Rebel Chick Sheila - Sheila Cakes Tammy - Three Different Directions Liz ... {Keep On Reading}

Who am I and what makes me smile

Shawn Ann

There are all kinds of 30 day post challenges going on around the blogosphere and I decided to take part in my version of one. I'm going to do one post each day for the month of April, or at least I'm going to try to. These will be in addition to any other posts for reviews, sponsored posts, and trip posts.  Many of these topics come from one specific 30 day post challenge going on this month, but I also exchanged some for my own topics. Day 1: Who am I and what makes me smile? Who is Shawn Ann? Many of my readers have come to Shawn Ann's World for a long time and many of you have come long ... {Keep On Reading}

The bare essentials …

Three Different Directions - Packing Boxes

Now that we know that we'll be living on the Big Island, the next step is deciding if we bring everything with us or start a fresh new life and buy new. This is something you really need to think about before you move to Hawaii. It isn't something to take lightly because it can mean leaving everything behind or spending a lot of money to ship all your belongings to your new home. Our decision, start fresh with all new. Well, for the most part. After getting a quote from Pods, for over $7,000 for their smallest pod and waiting as much as a month for our belongings to arrive in ... {Keep On Reading}
