Explore the City of Chicago With Your Family
Dreams can come true during a mini-vacation, especially when the destination can be within driving distance and have many places to visit that your family will just love. You could spend hours upon hours in the different museums in Chicago. However, we recommend going to the Field Museum for the various display there. You have a lot of history to learn while here.
Museums Galor in Chicago
The Field Museum
If you have children, you’ll want to make time to visit The Field Museum and meet Sue! They will love you for it. There is so much more to see there, but meeting Sue is an exceptional experience for everyone. There is so much to see at the Field Museum that you could spend the entire day there. However, if you are limited on time than you can still see most of the museum and make your way to your next location.
The Adler Planetarium
If your children love anything to do with the planets and space, this is the place to go! Not only do they have a lot to see but there is also a HUGE play area for the kids to have fun and learn all at the same time. Although there is a lot of learning to be had here at the planetarium, there is a lot of fun to be had by the kids. The kids could spend hours in the play area, which is designed for learning also.
John G. Shedd Aquarium
The aquarium is full of fish life. There are all kinds of fish to see while here. It is simply amazing inside the aquarium. I don’t think the Shedd Aquarium is the biggest aquarium we’ve visited, it could be, but it does have some spectacular sea life on display.
Seeing the glow of the Windy City during the night is amazing, especially if you happen to have a hotel room that is above the city and facing it.
