Our first stop in San Diego was visiting Sea World. Initially, we were planning on attending it multiple times, so we weren’t rushed. However, we ended up only getting there once during our stay in San Diego. This wasn’t because we didn’t enjoy our first visit, it was that we ended up finding so much more to do and needed some rest time. One day we will hopefully make it back for another visit.
Sea World
There is so much to do at Sea World that you need to have a few days to visit all the exhibits. During our visit, we spent most of the time riding the rides.
Living in Michigan, or even while we were living in Hawaii, visiting Sea World wasn’t something we thought we’d get to do. This is mostly because of how far away the closest Sea World is but also the cost. When you are paying for airfare (or gas for driving) along with a hotel stay and attraction costs, your trip can get very expensive. However, if you purchase your Sea World tickets in advance with the Go San Diego Card, you can save some money. This is especially true if you are buying tickets to multiple attractions.
I could spend an entire day there just looking at the different animals. I wish we would have made it back for at least a second day so that we could have watched a few of the shows that are put on throughout the day.
Family Fun
Thankfully, I have a son who loves riding rides, as I do! We rode roller coasters, swings, and so much more. I wanted to get more pictures while at Sea World, however, I was enjoying our time there as a family. We did visit a few of the animal exhibits. However, we never got to watch any of the shows. That was supposed to be done on our next visit. Hopefully next time. Looking for other fun for the family while in San Diego? Check out the San Diego Zoo!
