I’m not a big water drinker, the main reason for this is because I just don’t like plain water. It’s boring and it just never really hits the spot. So when I attended the Ann Arbor Cooks event back in April I was given an idea for some fresh flavored water.
It looked so delicious and refreshing and you can make it any way you really want and have a mixture of flavors. I prefer the cucumber flavor and the strawberry flavor, but for today I’m showing you the easy way to do cucumber water. Keep in mind that the amount of cucumber you add will determine the amount of cucumber flavor you get.
- Cucumber; sliced
Take fresh tap water, or filtered water (which is best) and add it to a pitcher or glass of choice.
Add in freshly sliced cucumber and allow to sit for about 2-3 minutes. The longer it sits the more flavor you get. I added about 8 slices to my 12oz mug.
When you are ready to drink add in ice cubes for a colder drink
That’s it. You can add really anything to the water for flavoring. I’ve seen strawberries, lemon & lime, and even watermelon. You can even combine the fruits with some herbs for an extra boost of flavor.
