Last month it became official, I was selected to be one of the few bloggers out there to be on the Hot Pockets Blogger Advisory Board, where I would receive an insider’s look at Hot Pockets. This meant I would be sent to the Nestle Prepared Foods Headquarters for a day and hear about their new plans for Hot Pockets, and I would get to share this information with my readers! That’s right, I was one of the first bloggers/media outlets to get this information.
It was short travel for me, just a trip to Ohio, but I was able to spend my birthday with Hot Pockets, Nestle, and several other bloggers. What a wonderful gift! Now, because I was given exclusive information on what is to come with Hot Pockets, I can only share some of the things with you and at select times, but you will enjoy all the news as it comes out.
This event turned into two days; we arrived the day before for a special dinner to kick off the event. We were hosted by wonderful Chef at Ristorante Chinato, one of Chef Z. Bruell’s restaurants in Cleveland. The evening consisted of an excellent meal and time to get to meet and mingle with members of Nestle. After an enjoyable evening, we headed to our hotel for the evening, where I had a relaxing night away from the kids and rest from the 3-hour drive to Cleveland.
We arrived at Nestle’s Headquarters bright and early the next morning with a warm welcome to a beautiful facility!
We were given an excellent breakfast that was created by the Nestle Chefs and had a little time to check out the fantastic test kitchen before we would learn all about Hot Pockets starting from where they began and where they expect to go in the future. There was even a good amount of fun involved too! Between the learning, snacking, cooking, and eating, it was probably one of my most favorite birthdays yet!
Yes, I did mention cooking up there! We were given the opportunity to become chefs for the day and create our own hot pockets for part of our lunch!
For lunch, we were greeted in the wonderful Nestle Test Kitchen and turned into Chef for the day where we were able to make our own Hot Pockets!
So what did we learn about? Well, I can’t tell you all of that now, but in due time, you will know what I know. For now, I can share with you some interesting facts I found out about Hot Pockets.
