I don’t get to have many of the families homemade chili recipe very often, due to my husband’s food allergies. However, there comes a time when you have to make some of them special recipes just for yourself. That’s exactly what I did recently with a recipe from one of my aunts.
Homemade Chili Recipe
This homemade chili recipe is super easy to double or even triple if you have a large crowd coming over. Just double or triple up on all ingredients and make the same way.
Chili just isn’t homemade Chili if it isn’t full of goodness, which in this case means onions. However, since my husband is allergic to them, I don’t get to cook very often with them. When I do, I make sure I make enough of it so that I can freeze it or can it to have it throughout the year for a special treat.
- 1 pound hamburger
- 1 onion
- 1 can of chili beans
- 1 packet of chili spice
- 4 cans of diced tomatoes
- Garlic chopped fresh or powdered
- Salt & Pepper
Chop onions to the desired size.
In a large pot fry the hamburger and onions and drain any grease.
Add chili spice package, beans, tomatoes, garlic, and salt and pepper to taste.
