I have tried to get into some type of exercising routine for some time now, but there always seems to be something that gets in my way. Either a child who doesn’t want me in one room and him in another, to hot to be outside working out, another kid not wanting to go for a while when you are ready, or that you have three conferences to go to within about 40 days! Life happens and you have to do what you can when you can.
We have all kinds of exercise equipment in our house. We have dumbbells, weight bench, barbells, and an all-in-one weight machine. We even had a bicycle and treadmill at one time but they both broke right about the same time. The one thing I was missing though was a Kettlebell. I’ve seen them in the store and have wanted one for a long time. However, I’ve never been able to find one that was just the right weight for me. You see, I’m strong, stronger than most people would expect me to be and a 5 pound kettlebell just won’t work for me. But I don’t want to over do it and get something that is to heavy either.
Then I was given the opportunity to review a complementary 3-in-1 Kettlebell from Empower Fitness and I couldn’t wait to use it. I mean, really, what’s better than a kettlebell that you can have different weights to it? That’s right, the 3-in-1 Kettlebell from Empower Fitness is a 5lbs, 8lbs, and a 12lb kettlebelll all in one!
How does it work?
The 3-in-1 Kettlebell is made up of three separate weights, the main weight with the handle is 5lbs, and then there are two additional weights that connect to it that are 3lbs and 4lbs. So you can start out with a 5lbs kettlebell and work your way up to 12lbs. They are super easy to change the weight around, just push a little spring-arm button and then twist the weight(s) off, then just twist the weight(s) back on when you are ready to add more.
With the 3-in1 Kettlebell you also receive a workout DVD that contains 3 complete kettlebell workouts to help you burn fat and sculpt muscles. There is also a workout guide that shows you multiple kettlebell workouts and exactly how to do each of them.
- Double Arm Swing
- Bicep Curls with Heel Lift, Alternating One-arm Swing
- Plié Squat to Upright Row
- Row to Tricep Kickback
- Single Leg Dead Lift
Now, I love that this is an adjustable kettlebell because it’s so much easier to adjust the weight on it than going out to the store to purchase a second or third kettlebell to get the weight that you need. I’ve noticed, at least for me, that with my arms I am able to adjust the 3-in-1 Kettlebell based on which exercise I’m doing to give me the better performance. Although I have some arm strength there are some exercises that I do need to use a lower amount of weight than with other exercises. I’m sure this is the same for everyone, it just depends on the way you are using the kettlebell and the muscles you are using.
You can purchase the 3-in-1 Kettlbell by Empower Fitness from many of your local retailers and online stores for about $39.99.
