Update on the yard

If you remember, I posted some pictures of the Jungle in the backyard, well, I have some more recent updated pictures of the same area and :wow what a difference. Here is one of the pictures from my previous post (it’s the before picture).

Before we did any work in this corner

Before we did any work in this corner - Can you believe there are 5 rose bushes in this mess?

And here is what that same corner looks like today.

Brandon also removed most of the bushes in the back of the house…not sure why they ever really kept them there other than all the work to take them out, but here’s the before and after.

And here we are without the bushes.

This is also a picture from the front house before and after of some work we did.

I am glad that your yard looks better. Sounds like Brandon has been doing a lot of work in the last few weeks to get the bushes up. It looks great and I don’t understand either why the bushes were planted where they were and not at the very back of the yard. The front also looks good. I hope you have worked as hard inside as you have outside to make the house the way you want it. Keep us informed of anymore you do to the house.

    It wasn’t easy either!
I used a mattock axe and shovel to get them all out of there. The roots were deep and spread out quite a bit, some of them had 12′ long root arms and they went a couple feet down.
And don’t even get me started on the concrete that is left over from the alley way that used to be back there, the roots grew UNDER it!
But it’s done now, and I’m happy.
Now to get about 75 yards of fill dirt to level it all out and cultivate about 150 sq-ft for my garden.
