About Torani

Since 1925, family-owned Torani has been crafting great tasting flavored syrups that coffeehouses use to make their flavored drinks taste so delicious. With over 120 flavors in regular and sugar free varieties, Torani flavored syrups are perfect for flavored lattes, mochas, coffees, cocoas, Italian sodas, teas, lemonades, cocktails and smoothies. Coffeehouse professionals choose Torani flavors because they are expertly crafted and made with the highest quality ingredients, like natural flavors and pure cane sugar. The sugar free flavors have no calories and are sweetened with Splenda. Now, Torani Flavored Syrups are widely available at retail so you can easily create authentic coffeehouse quality drinks at home.

My Take On It

SheSpeaksbuttonWe were recently given the opportunity to review Torani, with the impression that it would be a great product for flavoring our coffee.  Unfortunately, I wouldn’t be able to recommend the Torani product to anyone.  We received two bottles of the Torani Syrup and the two flavors we received I would never think to try in coffee.  But we had to try them.  :omg it was the worst thing I could have done to my coffee.

Even though the product is a syrup, I was under the impression that it was a type of creamer for your coffee.  Not necessarily dairy creamer but the impression from the information received it looked to be that.  However, that is not the case.  It is just a syrup and can be used for items other than just coffee.  I think the product is more for items other than coffee, especially because of the flavors.  I never would have chose peppermint or sugar free brown sugar cinnamon, especially not for coffee.

Here you can see my review and other reviews on the SheSpeaks site. My review for the Peppermint Syrup and my review for the Sugar Free Brown Sugar Cinnamon Syrup.

coffee shops DO use the torani syrups, but I think the big difference is they are using professional frothing machines for the milk, and when you add the hot milk and the syrup together it works.

Just not at home, I agree. However, try adding it to your normal cheesecake recipe- YUM!

I see these at coffeehouses all the time, but I have not used them in my hot coffee. I agree, I prefer a creamer rather than a syrup. I have used the Torani sugar-free vanilla syrup to sweeten iced coffee and smoothies though.
