The Senators beat out the Sabres today to advance to the final round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. They are to face either the Anaheim Ducks or Detroit Red Wings for the Stanley Cup. It looked as though the Senators were going to sweep Buffalo, but they came back to last one more game. Today’s game was a close one, the Senators won in overtime. Here’s a recap of the series:
GM 1: Senators 5, Sabres 2
GM 2: Senators 4, Sabres 3 (2OT)
GM 3: Senators 1, Sabres 0
GM 4: Sabres 3, Senators 2
GM 5: Senators 3, Sabres 2 (OT)
Game 5 for the Ducks and Wings is tomorrow afternoon. They are both looking to go head in the series as it is tied at 2 games a piece right now. Hopefully the Wings will be back on track and ready for some home game action!
