The Ducks win

Scott Niedermayer has won the cup for the fourth time and the Anaheim Ducks have become the Stanley Cup champions for the the first time in their franchise history.   They beat the Ottawa Senators last night 6 to 2 and clinched the Stanley Cup in 5 games.  This is the first time for many of the players to have their name on the cup, including Rob Niedermayer, Teemu Selanne, & Chris Pronger.  Scott Niedermayer also won the Conn Smythe as this year’s Stanley Cup Playoff MVP.  What a great feeling it must have been for those guys and the entire team.

Here’s to a better and more winning season next year for the Wings.
