Detroit Sports Are Great!

Detroit

It's officially sports season here in Michigan.  I mean, it's really always sports season because there's always some type of professional sports going on, but right now it can't get any better! The D has it going on! The Detroit Tigers just beat the New York Yankees and are headed to the ALCS! It was a very intense game last night, game 5 in NY and the Yankees just couldn't get it done. :woohoo The Detroit Lions have won all four of their games so far, going for 5 straight and will be playing in Monday Night Football! I think it's been like 10 years since they've played on a Monday {Keep on Reading}

Ryan Miller gets better welcome

So, the other night the Buffalo Sabres took on the Pittsburgh Penguins and during the introduction, Ryan Miller from the Sabres got a better welcome, including a standing ovation, than the Penguins own Sidney Crosby.  :tongue It was pretty funny to see because Crosby didn't look too happy about it.  But hey, what do you expect?  The fans in the USA are going to cheer on their own country and the awesome job they did in the Winter Olympics over another country, even if the player is playing for their home team.  You can watch the video on YouTube.  It isn't until the end that you see {Keep on Reading}

What to do

It's amazing that now that my classes are over I'm having a hard time finding things to do.  I want to get this blog moving and get people coming, but for whatever reason I just can't seem to find anything to blog about.  I am truly finding myself bored :toofunny I've got Terrific Tuesday finally rolling, at least some.  I've had over 70 giveaways posted this week, most ever, and on Tuesday I had over 100 visitors, most ever.  Unfortunately, the people don't return again until the next week to post more giveaways :( I've got more time for blogging since school is over, but what can {Keep on Reading}

Sports Players are supposed to be Role Models

This is something that we always hear about sports players.  They are supposed to be role models to our children, someone to look up to.  So what is the NFL doing allowing Michael Vick back into the league after he has not only been found guilty, but served time for dog fighting?  What the hell kind of role model is he going to be? :serious? Let's take a closer look at this.  Vick was "convicted in August 2007 of conspiracy and running a dogfighting operation, and was sentenced to 23 months in federal prison" (Vick, Eagles agree on multimillion-dollar deal).  He was also supposed to {Keep on Reading}

Update

OK, I haven't posted much lately, :abouttime been pretty busy with classes.  I've just finished my 3rd week of Introduction to Taxation and I've got 3 weeks left.  Although the class really isn't taking up a lot of time, it's still takes up most of my usual spare time. :whew OH, and let's not forget that it's Hockey and Football season so I'm watching my sports again :blink Other than that, we are getting ready for Halloween.  Me and Thaddeus are going to be Pirates for Halloween.  I decided to dress up this year while walking around with Thaddeus.  Brandon says he's not going to {Keep on Reading}

So back to the Olympics

OK, so I posted earlier about the fact that people are from other countries and now citizens of the United States and performing in the Olympics for us.  I still don't get it, but whatever.  Onto my next complaint! Why in the world did they bring BMX into the Olympics?  It's not a damn sport, it's a hobby!  There is NO reason BMX should be a sport in the Olympics.  I sure hope it does NOT stick around!  Which leads me to the Trampoline and Table Tennis, also known as Ping Pong to those of us in the USA.  I don't know how long those two have been in the Olympics, but what a waste of {Keep on Reading}
