Detroit Sports Are Great!

Detroit

It's officially sports season here in Michigan.  I mean, it's really always sports season because there's always some type of professional sports going on, but right now it can't get any better! The D has it going on! The Detroit Tigers just beat the New York Yankees and are headed to the ALCS! It was a very intense game last night, game 5 in NY and the Yankees just couldn't get it done. :woohoo The Detroit Lions have won all four of their games so far, going for 5 straight and will be playing in Monday Night Football! I think it's been like 10 years since they've played on a Monday {Keep on Reading}

What the hell

Is there a national holiday that I'm not aware of or something?  Right at this moment, the moment I am typing this message there is an NHL game going on.  Granted, it's not one I'd particularly like to watch, but WTH!  Can't we have these games during normal hours when those of us who work and love hockey can actually watch them?  Not to mention that the Wings are playing today at 3PM.  OK, I'll let that one slide since they are playing in Sweden, but still, couldn't they have scheduled that one for tomorrow? THAT'S RIGHT!  I want to watch HOCKEY and I'm tired of not getting to see {Keep on Reading}

Wings Sweep Avs and Advance to Finals

Last night the Detroit Red Wings swept the Colorado Avalanche with an 8 to 2 win in Colorado. :yeahbaby: The Wings are the first team to advance to the finals. They will either play the Dallas Stars or San Jose Sharks, and I'm guessing it'll be the Stars since they are up 3 games to 1 when San Jose escaped elimation (by sweep) Wednesday night beating the Stars and forcing a game 5. We could find out tonight if the Stars advance or if the Sharks force game 6. The New York Rangers also escaped an sweep elimation by winning game 4 in a shut out, and forcing a game 5. Let's just hope they {Keep on Reading}

Avs and Wings advance

:yeahbaby: The Wings won this afternoon, eliminating Nashville and are heading to round 2 of the playoffs!!!!!  Last night the Avs beat out the Wild, winning 4 games to 2. The Sharks and Flames along with the Stars and Ducks play tonight and there could be two more teams advancing to the next round.  Will the Flames force a game 7 or will the sharks take the series tonight? If the Sharks win, then the Wings will be playing the Avs in round 2, but if the Flames end up forcing game 7 and winning, then the Wings will be playing them.  The Ducks are facing elimination, which would suit me {Keep on Reading}

I’m done with the Wings this year

I am so tired of watching the Red Wings playing and screwing up and ending up loosing the game because of something stupid they've done.  Today it was Dominic Hasek.  He's been doing it for a while now, coming out of his net and trying to be a hockey player instead of a goal tender.  Keep your ASS in the net Hasek!!!!  Not only was he doing that again today, but he allowed the Ducks to tie the game with 47 seconds left by not even trying to reach for the puck when it was coming towards the net.  He didn't even go to grab at it until after it was well out of reach and just about across the {Keep on Reading}

Let the Conference Finals begin

The Sabres ended up beating the Rangers in game 6 and Ottawa beat out the Devils, taking them the Eastern Conference Finals, which is set to start on Thursday. The Red Wings beat the Sharks in game 6 and Anaheim beat out the Canucks, taking them to the Western Conference Finals, which is set to start on Friday. This is it. The winners of these two match-ups will be heading to the Stanley Cup Finals!!! Which team will be the first to make it to the finals? :anyone: {Keep on Reading}
