So, the other night the Buffalo Sabres took on the Pittsburgh Penguins and during the introduction, Ryan Miller from the Sabres got a better welcome, including a standing ovation, than the Penguins own Sidney Crosby.
It was pretty funny to see because Crosby didn’t look too happy about it. But hey, what do you expect? The fans in the USA are going to cheer on their own country and the awesome job they did in the Winter Olympics over another country, even if the player is playing for their home team. You can watch the video on YouTube. It isn’t until the end that you see Crosby announced and the volume is pretty low. Was it just me or did the announcer seem more excited about Crosby than the fans?
What I find even more funny, is that almost all of the Olympic stars, whether from the Sabres or the Penguins, received a better welcome than Crosby.
Let’s face it Crosby, you may be a pretty good player and you got yourself a Stanley Cup and a Gold Medal, but you are still a whiny little cry baby – and that was proven at the beginning of that game!
