Obama Care Passed

:woohoo Everyone can have insurance now because Obama says it’ll be affordable through the government!  Too bad you still won’t be able to afford it :crying Don’t get me wrong, I would love for everyone to be able to have health care but not at this cost.  As of right now, everyone in the United States has the opportunity to get health insurance.  The only problem with getting it, is the cost of it.  If the government wasn’t being paid off by the insurance companies the government would be telling these companies that making a $18 Billion profit was too much.  Require them to lower their costs – NO COMPANY SHOULD BE MAKING THAT MUCH MONEY, especially when all they do is supply health insurance.  NO FAMILY should be required to pay $1,000 a month for health insurance – that is unless you have 10 kids.

Well, there you have it.  These fricken morons in the House have passed the Obama Care and now it is going to the Head Moron to be signed.  We are all in a shitload of problems now! You people just have absolutely no idea what this is going to cost you in the long run.  Those cheering for this only look at it as you can now get health care.  Only problem is you are WRONG!

This health care IS NOT going to be affordable.  Let me repeat that.  This health care IS NOT going to be affordable!  You are going to be FORCED into buying health care one way or another, either through the government or through your place of employment.  IF YOU DO NOT, YOU WILL BE FINED! Yeah, that’s right!

For the first time, most Americans would be required to purchase insurance, and face penalties if they refused. MSN

There are all kinds of figures going around about how much this government provided health care is going to cost, but the average is about $500 per month!  Do you have $500 to spare each month?  NO?  Guess you are SOL because you’ll either have to pay that $500 anyway or you will be fined.  Who knows how much you will be fined, it could be $100 or $1, 000 (they haven’t come out and said if it would be a monthly or yearly fee).  Oh and let’s not forget that when you purchase this health insurance, you will still have a $5,000 deductible, which means you have to pay $5,000 out of pocket BEFORE the insurance coverage kicks in.  This may only apply to non-regular check-ups, but your kid breaks an arm or leg and you are paying the first $5,000 to get that fixed before the insurance will cover the rest.

YEAH, THAT’S AFFORDABLE!

Unique Baby Clothes

Let’s not also forget that because this is government it is going to require businesses to offer health insurance to their employees.  If they don’t, they will be fined UP TO $2,000 PER PERSON.  This will force businesses to close down because 1) they can’t afford the insurance, and 2) they won’t be able to afford the fine.  Just remember that if you voted for any of the Democrats in office that voted for this, that it is your fault when the company you work for shuts down, you have no job, and you are still REQUIRED to purchase this health plan!  Don’t blame the Republicans or the few Democrats who voted against this bill.

Don’t plan for this to happen quickly, it could take years before this plan happens AND even though you will be FORCED into buying health insurance your TAXES are going to go up also!

But this is what YOU wanted.  YOU wanted another part of our freedom run by the government. Why?  Because they are doing such a great job at Medicare, Social Security, and everything else they run.

FIX WHAT WE HAVE, NOT CREATE MORE PROBLEMS! Force the insurance companies to lower their costs.  Force ALL hospitals and doctors to charge the same price for procedures!

I think this will force the standard of health care down.

We Will be a first world country with 3rd rate health care.

I agree that the healthcare industry gouges. That’s the area that should have been targeted.

Obama is turning this in a socialist nation. I am scared for my kids! His idea of government will oppresses us, not protect us. Government will only get bigger, politicans richer and the rest of us will work for naught.

Why do so many Americans think that this will be a good deal? Talk about koolaid drinking fools :-(

My husband is a general contractor who in the past year has laid off ALL of his employees because there is NO work. Banks are not lending and people do not feel comfortable spending money in this CRAPPY economy. It is truly unfortunate that the bozos in congress think that health care is more of a priority than jobs. Obviously they flunked Economy 101.

    I am scared.

Actually, make sure you read all of the details closely. Yes, people will be required to have health care, either through their employers or privately – but if you cannot afford it, it will be subsidized. This is NOT the same as what they have in Canada or England. What we have now is broke, whatever attempts we can make to fix it are much better than sitting back and watching people die or go bankrupt because they can’t afford health care.

It’ll all be based on your income and what the government thinks you should be able to pay. Just because you say you can’t pay it doesn’t mean they will think the same thing. Not everyone will be exempt from the the penalty.

Forcing people and businesses to get insurance is not a solution. It’s just putting money into the pockets of the insurance companies and congressman’s pockets.

the ONLY exemptions are on religious basis, ie christian scientist and amish. Oh and the “special people”= the president, vp, and ALL of Congress. they were SO nice to exempt all of themselves and those past congressmen and pres’ from the plan and fines. wasn;t that sweet?

my place of work just went and changed health plans in anticipation of the bill passing. we now have a higher deductible and if you get sick, more out of pocket costs. Oh and the doozy? ONLY 20 pt visits PER year. So if you have a bad wreck, you’re be paying for your own pt…

i live in louisiana and I can assure you as my entire family has worked in the health care system here that subsidized health care is 1. LONG waits for speciality services, 2. very basic care, 3. NO choice of what will and won’t be done. You don’t get the robotic surgeries, you get the old fashioned, wow looks at those scars, and 4. it will BANKRUPT the states who will have to oversee and handle the mess. Ask Giv Jindal, if he could do away with subsidized health care, Louisiana would be so far in the black ($$$) it’s not funny….

our family has private small businesses. they are now going to be SHUTTING them down if all goes thru like it is supposed to for EXACTLY what you said= they can barely afford their own healthcare, they can;t subsize all their employees, that would mean zero profit…

personally we have lost over $1,000 on tax refund this eyar compared to last. when all goes thru like they say, next year we will have to PAY close to that amount. who got the $5,000 back like the vp said this monring on the today? people who LIED? or those with $300,000 plus incomes?

we in the south would have rathered pres took on HOUSE INSURANCE. my mortgage has gone up 60% since before katrina due to what THAT insurance company has been allowed to get away with. ask residents in the south and they’ll tell you, if the house insurance wasnt so much, i could AFFORD med insurance at its CURRENT rate! oh, and we can;t buy insurance that doesn;t operate in our state, so how they figure med insurance will be different is beyond me…

what happened to the constitution and freedom of choice?

They should have opened up the buying/selling of insurance across state lines to make more competition…that way we wouldn’t be charged ridiculous amounts! But instead they passed this horrible bill….full of freedom-stripping things! Plus…they have education things in this *healthcare* bill!?

I pray that we get some non corrupt people in the govt to take a stand for the people and do what is right for this country!

Barack Obama and all his liberal cronies really should be ashamed of themselves. Furthermore this is a total outrage. I’d been under the perception that any time the us president will take office he is required to swear an oath to support along with protect the constitution of the us. Nowhere inside the Constitution did it provide the government the authority to be able to enact as well as impose laws and regulations such as the health reform bill. It’s my opinion that these power mongers are going to be in for a proper surprise around November. Congratulations on the demise of your political careers.

I am so happy to see that most of you “get it”! We know they are trashing our constitution and taking control of things they have no right to control. I pray the lawsuits being filed will be upheld. We are in for tough times, but we can get ourselves out of it. Let’s not fall asleep at the wheel again! Keep your eyes and ears on Congress and this Marxist (yes, I said Marxist) administration. Vote them out in November and in 2012 and vote in candidate with fiscal, moral, and Constitutional values. If we don’t, America is lost. I am sickened at the thought of the country my grandson could be growing up in.

I totally agree with you, there’s absolutely no reason for this atrocity, I know we all need health care, but getting fined? My honey has been out of work for the last three months, so obviously, no insurance, lets hope he doesnt get pulled over for speeding he may end up with a “no health insurance” fine!! How ridiculous!
