Marshalls Shopping Spree & T.J. Maxx Gift Card Giveaway CLOSED

I was recently given the opportunity to have a small shopping spree at Marshalls, courtesy of Victoria from Rocket XL.  I received a $25 gift card to Marshalls and a $25 gift card to T.J. Maxx to have fun shopping and blog about it.  Well, I decided to shop at Marshalls and to giveaway the T.J. Maxx gift card to one of my readers.

This shopping trip ended up being for the house, for the most part.  We just purchased a new home last July and there are still things we need, so what better way to spend some money, then to spend it on something for the house.  The first item I purchased was a fruit rack.  I have been wanting one of these for years and just never bother to get one, I know, lazy!

This is the fruit basket we got.  It didn’t take me long to figure out which one I wanted because this one is silver and most of our small appliances and other kitchen things are silver.  Plus it was pretty and only cost $19.99 compared to the $35 suggested retail price!  I could have spent the entire day at Marshalls shopping for things, unfortunately, I just couldn’t think of enough stuff we were in the need for at that time.

The other item I purchased was a pair of plastic hand grips for my husband.  Yeah, I know.  That doesn’t seem like it is something you would get for your husband.  However, not long before he lost his job he almost cut one of his fingers off at work and in order to get his strength back in his fingers (after being stitched up and not being able to use them for a while) would have been to use something like this.  So, we had $5.01 left on the gift card and this is what we got These cost $5.99, which after tax put me just over the $25 ($27.54).

Not too bad of a shopping trip, something I’ve wanted for years and something that hubby should have had months and months ago to help with his therapy.
