Keeping Warm with Honeywell 360 Surround Heater

Honeywell 360 Surround HeaterThere is something about our house that is very weird when it comes to the heating and cooling. Even though we have a new heating and cooling system there is one room in the main part of our house that is always cold in the winter and hot in the summer, it is the farthest from the furnace, which could explain this but it’s still weird that there is a very noticeable difference.  We also have a couple other areas of the house that are similar, but more due to the fact that they are not set up for heating and cooling in the areas. One is our breezeway, between our house and garage which has absolutely no vents for heating or cooling.  Then there is our basement. It has two, 2, vents for eat through the entire basement. Since we don’t spend much time down there we don’t open the vents to allow for more heat for our main areas of the house.

Problem with this?

Well, my husband has his office in the basement, in one section of the basement that has NO vents at all!  OK, so he moved up stairs with me when we moved the boys into a room together, but he still has his work bench down there and does work down there when he has to physically work on computers and let me tell you, if he thinks it’s cold down there, than it’s cold down there!  I don’t go down there unless necessary, and that’s just to do laundry because it’s to cold down there for me.

Solution, Honeywell 360 Surround Heater!

Honeywell 360 Surround Heater

I was able to review the Honeywell 360 Surround Heater and decided the best place for it was down in the basement in my husbands office area.  This way he can stay as warm, or comfortable as he’d like.  The best part of this heater is that it has a thermostat control, so you can have it set to keep the area at a certain temperature!  Also, if you can put it right in the middle of a room it will heat in a 360 degree area evenly!

The Honeywell heater works great down there, especially since in that room there is no carpeting and the walls are basic brick walls.  Yes, it’s an unfinished basement, well some might consider it to be partially finished. The heater works so well down there, that I didn’t mind being down there while taking the pictures! Yeah, like I said, I don’t like being in our basement and only go down there in the winter to do laundry or to grab supplies. Otherwise, I’m on the main level of our  house at all time!

The Honeywell HFD-139 Germ Reducing High Performance Air Purifier w/ Permanent Filter looks great. I really want to get an air purifier and I was surprised at their prices. I was expecting them to be more expensive.

I see that they also sell water leak detectors, which is something that most people could use under the sink
