It’s been a while

Ok, so it’s been a while since I’ve really posted anything.  I mean, I recently posted about  our trip to KY that was coming up, but other than that I haven’t posted about much at all.

So here goes.

Working full-time along with selling Avon and taking care of a 2 year old is a lot of work.  Yeah, it’s expected to be a busy life, but  I can’t believe how busy it is! I honestly haven’t had a whole lot to post about, even with as busy as life has been.  Let’s see, there are a few things I can post about to get you updated on everything.

Daycare:  These places are a rip off!  We put Thaddeus in daycare when I went back to work full-time back in July.  He only goes the days where Brandon has to work, which means he goes 1-5 days a week.  We were told we only had to pay for the days he goes.  So it was going great, until the beginning of this month!  Thaddeus didn’t have to go at all the week of September 3rd through 7th, due to Brandon’s work schedule.  We’ll, we were expected to pay for Labor Day because they pay their employee’s for holiday’s.  Fine, but why should I pay you $105 for the day when he’s not there at all that week?  I could see paying that if he actually went in a day or more that week, but he didn’t go in at all.  So we had to use what they call vacation days, but you can’t use just one for a holiday, you have to use the enitre week!  WTF, I have to waste and entire week vacation for 1 day!  So I went looking through our schedule for the rest of the year.  Not only do I have to do it for Labor Day week, but I’ll also have to do it for Christmas week since I’m off work that entire week, which means we can’t take a week to go on vacation because then we’d have to pay $150 for the week of Christmas when Thaddeus won’t be there  So after all this, I talked to our next door neighbor who watches her grand kids and another kid and she’s happy to take Thaddeus on the days we need her and it’ll save us at least $100 a week!

Our trip to KY was pretty good.  Didn’t get a lot of rest for a “vacation” but it was good to see the family.  I’ve got some pictures, but I haven’t gotten around to uploading them yet.  I will, I promise.

Avon is going pretty good.  I’ve finished taking the courses they offer online, just to help you understand how everything works and I’ve got a Beauty Advisor Certifications, which means I can do makeovers  It really won’t help me sell more Avon or anything, but it’s something.  I also think I may have gotten a new customer :yup  although I haven’t seen an order yet, I was talking with a potential customer the other day.  It’ll be great to have more customers :bigsmile:

Work is going great!  I’ve just about got everything caught up that needs to be done, just one thing left to catch up on, but that’ll take a while to do.  It’s nice to be out of the house more, even if it is to go to work
