Being from the motor city, all I’ve heard about today is how Ford is closing several plants. They’ve already annouced 5 of the plants they are closing and said that there are more plants that will be closing soon. The excuse for the closing of the plants is so that Ford can stop losing money.
Would they like to really know how to stop losing so much money? If the Big 3 would just do away with the union, they’d be making millions every month rather than losing every month. Union workers are lazy and expect to be paid way too much money for what they do…..and before you go and complain about my comment…I KNOW THIS FROM FIRST HAND KNOWLEDGE! Hell everyone in Michigan knows how this works. Companies can hire so called SCAB workers to do the same job as any of the union workers for half the price and the job would be done just as good if not better. Look at the Detroit News and Free Press. It’s been running without the union for years now and they are still in business…hell the union workers finally decided to stop picketing and harrassing the SCAB employees and finally found themselves new jobs.
If these companies would just look at all the wasted money they spend to pay a union employee to just sit around and do nothing while they wait for their machine to finishing doing their job and pay a non-union person to do that job and another persons job….they’d not only not spend as much money, but they’d probably sell more cars because they could sell them cheaper. We all know that it doesn’t really cost $30-40,000 for a truck or car, but because they have to pay all the union bull shit fees and employee’s with huge salaries and benefits, along with the bull shit ISO Standards that only GM, Ford, & DChrylser use, they’d save a shit load of money.
It’s amazing that they don’t realize this. I’m going to predict that within the next 2 or 3 years that Toyota will be in the #1 spot over GM. Why? Because they don’t use union workers, they don’t charge as much for a vehicle, they give better warranties, etc.
Just watch, it’s going to happen.
Ok, I’ve put my 2 cents in…I feel much better!
