Best of the Best Commercials

1. Chevy end of the world commercial.  Sorry, love GM products more than Ford and hey, let’s face it, when Ford asks their competition to pull their Super Bowl ad you know whose product is better!
2. Doritos “You didn’t see nuthin” was funny as hell!
3. Doritos “Baby Bungee” – Super funny!  Had to tell Thaddeus he is NOT allowed to do that with his baby brother!
4. H & M “David Beckham” – Who doesn’t like that one?  He’s got a nice body, but he’s also forgettable to me because I wouldn’t recognize him if I walked right into him.
5. Metlife “Classic Cartoons” I so want those cartoons to come back!  They were the BOMB!  Love them!  Commercial was dumb, but loved seeing the classic cartoons I grew up watching.

Not Bad Commercials

1. Audi “Killing Time” commercial was funny, but stupid at the same time.
2. Chrysler “Halftime in America”, it was pretty good.  Gotta give some love to Chrysler and Clint for doing a good and long commercial about the D.
3. Coca-Cola “Watching the Game” – Liked these, they were neat watching the reactions to the bears as the game went on.
4. Bridgestone (all) – Not bad, they had some good ones.
5. Pepsi “Elton John” – Funny but stupid at the same time.  Bordering Worst of the Worst.

Worst of the Worst Commercials

1. Kia “Mr. Sandman” – totally sucked.  Sorry, but when you have to show mostly naked women in a commercial to get guys to check out your car, it’s not a car worth looking at!
2. Honda “Broderick? Broderick?” TOTALLY STUPID.  Hated the movie, commercial is just as stupid!
3. Acura “The First One” – Sorry Seinfeld didn’t like you in your TV show, don’t like you as a comedian, don’t like your commercials!
4. Skechers “Dog Race” – Ummm, WTF?!
5. E-Trade “Delivery Room” – Bored with the E-Trade commercials, not funny.
6. GoDaddy – sorry, tired of watching the GoDaddy commercials during the Super Bowl.

The rest of the commercials weren’t memorable at all or don’t even need mentioning because they weren’t good.

I’m still determined to lose the weight; it’s just going to take a bit longer to get started.  As one of my tools I will be using the Precision GetFit Body Fat Scale from EatSmart.

My Take On It

I love that you can have it set for multiple users and that it can keep track of which user is using the scale based on their weight.  Once you program your information in (age, sex, height, etc.) it can tell who is using the scale based on your weight (as long as more than one person isn’t around the same weight) and it can give you your updated information within a matter of a minute.  The display is easy to read and it has a much higher maximum weight than most bathroom scales.

First thing I did when I received the scale was to get us all set up on it; I even programmed Thaddeus into it!  Once everyone is programmed in, it’s easy to add a new person (if you need to) and you have the option to get just your weight or you can remain on the scale for just a little longer and it will let you know your percentage of body fat, percentage of total body water, percentage of muscle mass, and your bone mass.  Remember, it takes into account your sex, height, and age to get these percentages so make sure if more than one person is around the same weight that you are on the correct person otherwise these numbers will not be correct for you (different numbers for males and females).

It’s a little hard to read because without the flash you can’t see the numbers at all, but in the first picture (you can click them to enlarge them in a new window) there is a little square like image at the bottom left.  This square moves across the display while it calculates your percentages and then once they are calculated you will see them below your actual weight (like in the second image).

OK, so everyone knows exactly how much I weigh now, yup, it’s time to start losing weight!

The only problem I can find for the scale is that it’s a little hard to use the controls on the top to set up a person because they aren’t really buttons.  Other than that, I love this scale!

My Take On It

I had a hard time picking out a card for Thaddeus, so I had him chose his own.  This is the card he chose along with his personalization to the card.

We are expecting our cards any day now and I can’t wait for them to come in.  The ordering process is very easy, just select your card, customize it the way you want it to look (based on what you are allowed to customize) and submit.  You will receive a proof of your card before the order is printed and once you approve the proof your cards are printed and shipped to you.

ETA:  You know, they had the size of the cards right there on the main page for the classroom Valentine’s Day cards yet I didn’t really pay attention to that.  I was expecting the cards to be a little bigger, more like the size of maybe two of them together but they are actually the perfect size for handing out in class.  Actual size of the card, for visual, is exactly the size of the cards in the first two images.  I can hold Thaddeus’ card up to my computer screen and his card fits right over the cards in those two images.

I was NOT expecting the quality of the card to be so good.  The card stock is awesome, nice and thick and the print quality is just like it is in the proof (shown above)!

Thaddeus was excited when he found out the box that arrived was actually for him and not me. He wanted to take them to school the next day!
