I’ve Been Slacking

DSCN2666

I have been slacking so much with posts lately and I'm sorry.  But, I've been pretty busy.  Besides the fact that I've got the kids to take care of and other family duties, I started classes again and just finished the first of many classes. Taking classes online is a lot more work than doing it the traditional way.  You finish one class and the next one(s) starts the very next day. Plus you are constantly writing mini reports and regular reports as your class work, which means each week I am writing around 2 mini reports and one regular report.  Yeah, it's a lot of work! But it's all {Keep on Reading}

I Haven’t Posted an Update Lately, So …

DSCN2556

I know that I haven't posted an update lately; in fact it's been about 2 weeks or so since I last posted about the kids.  I'm sorry!  As you can see from my other posts, I've been getting lots of review items, and I still have several other items sitting next to me that I have to write my review on. Thaddeus He's doing good in school, so far.  He started off that way last year and then turned into the little devil that he is! :toofunny It's hard to get him to and from school right now because I have to pack up Xavier with the oxygen and monitor, but we manage.  This year I've been {Keep on Reading}

School: I am going back to school

backtoschool

You read that right, I'm going back to school! Yeah, what was I thinking!  I haven't even started my first class, starts tomorrow, but I'm already wondering what I was thinking! OK, it can't be that bad can it?  Going back to school, that is. Anyway, I've changed my major, sort of.  I mean, I finished my degree in 2010, which was an Associates in Business with a concentration in Accounting and Computer Information Systems.  The change is that I'm no longer going for a degree in Accounting.  I figured that if and when I decide to go back to work after this baby is born I'll probably {Keep on Reading}

Climbing the Bathroom Stalls

Thaddeus' Kindergarten Picture

So last week, I went to pick Thaddeus up from Latchkey and the lady in charge says to me, "I need you to talk to your son."  I'm like great, what did he say to get him in trouble.  She tells me that he goes into the bathroom and ends up climbing the stalls.  Since she's a female, she's not allowed to go in there to check on him.  She explains to me how dangerous it is because she wouldn't know if he's fallen and is hurt, etc.  So I call my son over to us, "THADDEUS ALEXANDER, get your butt over here right now!"  I explain to him that he's in big trouble and he looks up at me with sad {Keep on Reading}

First Day of Kindergarten

Super happy little guy, makes us proud!

Today was the first day of school for us here in Michigan and today was our little guys first day of Kindergarten!  We can't believe how quickly time is going by. Here's a few pictures I took this morning before leaving him at the school (you can click on them to view them larger). When I asked him how his day went, he said that it was good.  I asked him what he did and this is basically his response. I played with the train, played with the domino's, played on the play ground, and had story time. I then asked him if he had fun, and his response. Well, I had fun, but I got bored {Keep on Reading}

All set for school

school-kids

It's official, our little guy will start Kindergarten next week!  I can't believe that it's already time for him to start school.  These last five years have really flown by.  It seems like just yesterday that Thaddeus arrived into this world and now he's going to start school. It's been a little bit of an adventure getting to this point, well, getting him set up for school that is.  We got him "registered" back in May and then we had to wait until his 5-year checkup before we could get him fully enrolled because they needed all his shot records and a current checkup.  We got that {Keep on Reading}

Graduation

DSC_0932

As you know, I completed my Associates of Business degree in Accounting / Computer Information Systems back in the Winter of 2009.  Well, yesterday was my actual graduation. Since I finished my degree after the 2009 commencement, I had to wait until this years commencement to walk across the stage.  Here's a few pictures from the event. I didn't actually hear him, but apparently Thaddeus yelled out, "I love you mommy!" twice while I was receiving my scroll.  My husband and mom said that everyone went, "AWWWWW" and one lady said she was about to start crying again. Something about {Keep on Reading}

2010 Snow Fall

DSC_0222

Just some random pictures from one of the snow falls we recently had.  While at work, hubby took Thaddeus out in the yard to play in the snow.  Here's a few pictures of him having fun playing. You can view many more pictures by going to Thaddeus' 4 Year's and younger Gallery - these snow pictures start on page 7. {Keep on Reading}

Registering for Kindergarten

We will be going in just a couple weeks to register Thaddeus for Kindergarten!  Can you believe that he is getting ready to turn 5 AND starting Kindergarten?  I don't know where the years have gone, they are just flying by. Thaddeus seems to be pretty excited about going.  When I got home from work the other day, I was reading off the flyer I printed about the registration and Thaddeus got a huge grin :yeahbaby on his face, almost exactly like the little smiley :teehee Today, I picked up his Immunization records and we are awaiting a call back from the person in charge to get the {Keep on Reading}
